Focus on Learning: 2014-2015 WASC Report

Accreditation certifies — to other educational institutions and to the general public — that a school meets or exceeds established standards and is achieving its own stated objectives.

The Western Association of Schools and Colleges ("WASC")  grant “institutional accreditation” after a comprehensive self-study followed by an on-site evaluation of the school's programs and services. This means that all diploma or degree programs and educational activities offered by a school are covered by the institution’s accreditation. The evaluation determines whether or not the school qualifies for regional recognition, but more importantly, periodic self-studies and reviews promote improvement in educational quality.

In 2015, Central High Tri-C received a six-year accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. To access and read the full report, click here. To review the 2018 WASC Mid-term report, click here.

Individualized Graduation Plan

When a student enrolls at Central High Tri-C CDS, our school counselor works with the student and parent to develop an Individualized Graduation Plan (IGP). The plan outlines the courses needed to complete all LAUSD requirements and earn a diploma.  Click here to see our current IGPClick here to see our AB 216 IGP.

Staff General Information

Principal's Message to Staff

Welcome, teachers! At Central High Tri-C CDS, we are committed to providing a safe, positive, and challenging learning environment that empowers students to become creative problem solvers, critical thinkers, and inspired learners who are college bound and career ready.

As principal, I fully support setting high expectations for academic achievement, high standards for positive behavior, and consistent school attendance at all of our sites. Academic success is gained through sustained personal commitment and effort, and everyone - teachers, parents, counselors, staff, and administrators - plays a critical role in supporting this effort. I invite you to join us on our collective journey toward student success, and help Central High School and Tri-C students learn that hard work ultimately pays off.

Spring 2019 Curriculum Maps and instruction guides

Over the Winter Break, a new series of curricular maps for Spring 2019 was developed. The subjects covered include English and Modern History. The maps are designed to serve as a school-wide content and instructional support guide. You can use them to plan instruction and access appropriate resources.

Similar to Fall 2018, we are providing all teachers with an introductory two-week review and support unit. This Spring's opening unit is titled "All Creatures Great and Small."

To access these Curricular Maps, use the Staff drop-down button on the menu bar above and click on "Curricular Maps." The "All creatures Great and Small" unit will be available on Friday afternoon, January 4. The Modern History unit will be added soon thereafter.
