    About Us

Central High/Tri-C CDS is a continuous enrollment, alternative education school. We offer 9th-12th grade coursework within two components: Central High School (a continuation school) and Tri-C CDS (a community day school). We have twenty-eight sites located in communities throughout the Los Angeles Unified School District.

As a dropout prevention program, Central High/Tri-C is the largest multi-site Educational Options school in LAUSD. Students receive individualized graduation plans, a standards-based A-G curriculum, college counseling, and encouragement to explore career and technical education training in a smaller class environment. Central High also provides a work experience program, serving students who have full-time employment. These students attend school two nights each week and on Saturday mornings for a total of six hours.

Upon completion of all required classes, students earn a LAUSD high school diploma.

Central High/Tri-C was granted a full six-year accreditation by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) in 2022. We were named a California Model Continuation School in 2020.
